In the early 2000’s the music and art style, synthwave, was inspired by many 1980s films, video games, and cartoons. The art features neon colours, night views of cities and landscapes, cars and chrome.
The synthwave range of birthday cards was designed by stuARTconcepts based on these ideas. The birthday cards are suitable for boys but many girls will also like them. Give it to your son, brother, grandson, nephew or friend.
Make your birthday card unique by editing the name on the front, adding a personalised message inside and choosing your envelope colour. Available in A6, large A5 or very large A4 sizes. To purchase any of these cards or see all the details click on the links below.
Bold red white and blue typography is the feature of this range of happy birthday cards. A combination of lines circles and solid colours combine to create the numbers. The strong colour in red, white and blue, makes this collection of happy birthday cards suitable for someone very patriotic living in Australia, USA, UK, France, Russia, Thailand, and many more. Do they support a team whose colours are red, white and blue? The greeting card can be for man woman male female mum, dad, any relation such as aunt and uncle, grandma, grandpa, or friend.
This range of birthday cards was originally designed in 2015. Now in 2019, the designs have been refreshed to include a personalised name on the front.

A party is going on in the letters of HAPPY BIRTHDAY in these birthday card designs! This concept was my first exploration of combining typography into a picture and it was originally commissioned for my boss’s husband. The original design has been revised and now there are 5 versions available:

My design was the winner in a 99designs logo competition.
Initially the “Y” in the name inspired a boat prow design. By making the “H” and “Y” shapes the same the illusion of a reflection in water could be achieved. To give the design depth varying thickness were used. As yachts come in many shapes and sizes I didn’t want to use a real silhouette. The colours were chosen based on an idyllic sea such as in the Bahamas.
The original brief was for holidayYachts.com but after winning the competition the client wanted the name amended. This change was simple to achieve without compromising the design concept.
