CoVID19 – Keep celebrating with a personalised greeting card

Saving people’s lives during the CoVID19 crisis means that we all need to socially isolate. No more birthday parties, wedding receptions or other celebratory gatherings for the duration of worst the crisis. As we come out of the crisis smaller gatherings might be possible. Consequently you may not be able to attend the celebration. One solution is to send a personalised greeting card.

Maintain your connections with a personalised greeting card

It is important for us to maintain our social connections with family and friends. One way to do that is to send them a physical personalised greeting card. Not just any card. One that is special for them. In fact, STU ART CONCEPTS can help you as every card is unique by editing the name on the front, adding a personalised message inside and choosing your envelope colour. They are available in A6, large A5 or very large A4 sizes.

Show appreciation with a personalised thank you card

In these difficult times, someone may have done something for you and you’d like to show your appreciation. Thank you cards are a great way to express your feelings. You can get a blank card and write your message yourself or I can add your personalised message.

Adding your personalisation is simple.

First, select the inside option as “Add personalised message” Then, in the box below that, write your personalised message & any special instructions. When your order comes through, I’ll prepare your artwork. If the message is simple, I’ll print and post the card. As well, I’ll send you a screenshot of the artwork for your information. For detailed messages, I’ll email you a screenshot of the artwork for your approval before printing the card.

The range of thank you cards is here.

Possible shipping delays

Postal services are considered an essential service and most countries are endeavouring to ensure they operate during this period. Australia Post is confident they can maintain service throughout Australia with little disruption – thus 2 to 8 working days delivery still applies. Likewise, many overseas countries postal services are still operating, though there may be a delay in some. I’d recommend allowing at least 25 working days. At this time the United States and the United Kingdom are operating normally so allow at least 10 to 12 working days. You can check what the current situation for your country is here.

Furthermore, as an insurance policy, during these uncertain times, I am sending all international customers a PDF file of the artwork so you can print out a temporary card should there be any shipping delays.

Find the right card

Visit the shop to find the right card for your occasion. There are three ways to find what you are looking for. Firstly, you can type in the search box in the top left your key words. Secondly, browse by category by clicking on the category icon pictures. Lastly, you can use the drop down tab to access the categories and sub-categories.

When you’ve found the right card, you can easily personalise it by writing the words in the personalisation boxes for me to edit and selecting the options for size and envelope colour.

New printer = better cards

Printing of my greeting cards has developed a lot since I first began making them in 2014.

My first printer was a Canon multifunction colour laser printer. This had severe limitations on the card thickness as it rolled the card when printing. It also often jammed which meant a lot of waste and frustration. To get the best results I had to print on photo paper and glue that to a 250gsm base card.

Next I upgraded to an Epson Artisan 1430 inkjet printer. I chose this printer for the A3 size capability along with archival quality printing. I still had to print the card image on photographic paper and glue it to the base card which could be 300gsm thickness.

Now I have upgraded again to an Epson Surecolor P800 inkjet printer. I chose this printer so I can print on very thick card and up to A2 size. NO MORE GLUING! I can now print on both sides of thick card with high quality images. After testing many papers, I’ve chosen Canson Rag Photographique as the media for my cards. This ultra smooth, pure white card is 310gsm 100% rag. This media exceeds museum standards reproducing exceptional vibrant colours which feature in many of my greeting card designs.

I’m extremely happy with the look and feel of the cards from this new printer. I hope you are too. Visit the shop to select and personalise your card. There are options to edit the name on the front, add a message inside, and choose your envelope colour. You can also select the card size up to A4! That makes every card I make unique.
